Dr Elaine Wheaton is a climate scientist with expertise in drought and applications- especially as applied to the sectors of agriculture and water. Her research interests are in climate change, impacts, adaptations, hazards, vulnerability and resilience. The hazards of interest are especially drought and excessive moisture. Her work contributes to gender equity in water research. I am among the few women in Canada who works on drought issues, for example.
